Our August Community Spotlight Recipient is Jon Smith-Tank. Jon is known on the Roberts forums for his detailed Port Battle reports.

Although, he does take a break from RvR to participate in the Live Events Team and help plan and carry out monthly events.

Jon also makes time to participate in the Boarding Party. Specifically, he helped by testing Power & Prestige during closed beta.

The Small Ship Regatta (Roberts)

We would like formally to invite all Captains of Roberts to take to the Seas in the first Small Ship Regatta! This will be a race starting in the picturesque town of Jenny Bay. We will give the Captains the route for the race, and they will also be given the the command of one of the small ships waiting in the Bay specifically for the race.

Power & Prestige Release

We realize that there’s a lot of excitement in the community tied to the release of Power and Prestige and we’re working hard to get it out the door. However, due to some logistical issues beyond our control we have to move the release to early September.

If you still haven’t given Power & Prestige a try, you will be able to participate in our Open Beta on the testbed server up until the day of release.

Community Spotlight: Ubert le Danois

Our latest Community Spotlight member has been a part of the community since soon after Pirates of the Burning Sea was released. Anyone who has participated in RvR on Roberts has heard the name Ubert le Danois, especially anyone who has been part of the French nation.

Ubert has honed his skill on the open sea through over 500 Port Battles. Because Ubert loves to see the community prosper, he has shared this advice through several guides, which he has written over the years.

Ubert’s dedication to the Age of Sail extends outside the game to a pirate party (RockPiraten) that he helps host every year. In past years, this party has served as a way for Pirates of the Burning Sea players to meet up in person.
